Details: Two sachets, and the second one is the whole idea. A 110g Sichuan chili-and-peppercorn base brings the mala; a separate 70g coconut milk powder packet rounds it off into something creamy and slightly sweet. Add all of the coconut for a mellow, Southeast-Asian-leaning broth, or hold some back if you want the heat front and center. You control the balance.

Preparation Instructions:

1. Bring 1000–1200ml of water (about 4–5 cups) to a boil;
2. Add the soup base sachet and simmer 5 minutes;
3. Stir in the coconut milk powder sachet — all of it for a creamy, milder broth, or half for a spicier one;
4. Add your ingredients and cook through.

Great With: Thinly sliced beef and lamb, shrimp, fish fillet, tofu puffs, enoki mushrooms, lotus root, potato, and glass noodles.
